Fortitude. Pain. Suffering... three key concepts which are the cornerstone of the human life. For us are prepared heartrending experiences and painful disappointments which can break spirit , and only stoical hardness will help to pass through all these deprivations till the end that marks the death... such implication can be actual for album "Fortitude.Pain.Suffering" of the project Deos which was formed under supervision of the British musician Daniel Neagoe, also known as founder of Doom/Death Metal group "Eye of Solitude"

About the project is a little known as and about release which caught under my hand absolutely incidentally and then it didn't draw my attention in that time. Probably, this work in modest and maybe in tasteless artwork could be remained not touched by me, but God sees (it is told not without irony), something moved me to this release, some sign, probably, specified to me that from "Fortitude. Pain. Suffering" I can expect something supernatural. Alas... nothing that could distinguish this material from an assembly of similar. In general any innovative decisions wasn't introduced in this work, it is sustained in the conservative line, in the spirit of early albums of Skepticism but I don't want to put Deos on one pedestal with legendary band, simply the reference point on classical "funeraln" sounding undertakes in this direction.
                          

Soft ambient intro "Introducing Sufferin" lashing by cold rain streams, thunder peals are almost inaudible somewhere far... around it is silent, don't smother. As though the world for a moment became is empty, having left the person alone with the his reflections under a heavy rain... The following composition "Abandoned" lays down by the marble slab of a monolithic funeral doom metal... Viscous, inarticulate chords, a gloomy monotonous vocal, distinguishable from this guitar pressure only by a timbre, the concentrated slow knock of percussions... all this as if symbolizes a desolation, a grief, misfortune, a deep depression and grief and even keyboard's arrangements, almost inaudible behind this rumble, don't give any gleams symbolizing the hope.

The cold and laid-back interlude opens the track "The Embalmed In Tears of Sorrow"... then again the tragic march's chords lasting after the mournful tirade telling about sufferings and dead hopes... and so on, and so forth.

Further, I think that would be pointless to tell. The remaining two songs performed in the same way . I can not say that this album will be interesting, unfortunately to raise it above the rest of monotonous releases failed. Perhaps we should admit that funeral doom metal doomed on the secondary, too often one can hear something like this in the framework of this style. This sometimes leads to the idea that his representatives are full of prejudices and doubts in the plan of making the unique their works. This is not good, at least I would like to get something more, although hope springs eternal - we will wait and look for work, worthy of admiration.

As for the album, which was mentioned here and now, let it be one of the numerous specimens of funeral doom, which can be considered as the initial milestone of the project, although written in a very good quality. A "primary" because it is where to go and what to work....
