A year has possed since the day when guys from De Profvndis Clamati decided to show to the public another job, limited only two tracks, which they named "web-single". Good approach, if can assume that fact when materials is not enough for a full album, but have a great desire to do next release, that to remind about self, and at the same time to test the response of their target audience and finally to be convinced at need to release the full album. So did this band, known by their debut ep"In between passionate menuendos", though not for all fans funeral-tier, but nevertheless they already showed self in a favorable light of branches of Funeral Doom.
I also will sight that the new job rather surprised me, because DPC changed self distinctive compositional manner imprinted on debut tape. "In Between Passionate Menuendos" with itself structure and content more like on "classical funeral" where in priority a heavy, tragic sound, with a very dense sound curtain, in short, everything is according with canons of the genre, except symphonic intro, which is somewhat out of the key ideas of the album, but sounding also very interesting. "The Transylvanian Mountainside Aria" produces a very different experience and itself atmosphere generates, rather, images of cold and deserted cemetery neighborhoods, but not a funeral procession and burial and mourning customs. In the vocal part experiments was a little more than enough that to say that the "firm identity" (recognizable, of course for those who are familiar with the debut ep album), which goes from a low growl to a heart-rending uterine wheeze, remained almost unchanged, but it is the prerogative of the vocalist .
A picture of, not devoid of integrity, but rather without special concept does not create a sense of hopelessness and grief, and reduces more gothic elements in the form of an abundance of synth arrangements in the spirit of romance and some desperate fading grandeur. Perhaps such a departure more or less truthfully describes the subject matter, and how would not want to cover it from all sides, purely analysis does not work, because the artistic image, which causes the music is always subjective.
Communicating with musicians DPC, in particular with the group leader, I always try to be aware of their latest news, so it was at a time when I was preparing this opus. I remember how many questions I had once, as soon as I was ordained in the plans for the new work, which also was designed as a web release, which itself acted as a pretty sensible idea. For its implementation took no little time and effort, not to mention the technical nuances, but taught more than a decade of experience musicians coped with their task successfully and come to its decision in a responsible manner. This can only talk about the intent DPC work on for the future!
